No. 9 Ohio State strolled into Lincoln and harvested the Huskers on Saturday night, 56-14. It was the Buckeyes' 500th Big Ten win and tied the Huskers for third all-time with 892.

It etched Ohio State to a 6-1 record and punched a bowl ticket for the fifth year in a row under Urban Meyer.

MEYER ERA BOWLS
SEASON BOWL OPPONENT RESULT
2012
2013 ORANGE CLEMSON LOSS, 40-35
2014 CFP CHAMPIONSHIP OREGON WIN, 42-20
2015 FIESTA NOTRE DAME WIN, 44-28
2016 CFP SEMIFINAL CLEMSON LOSS, 31-0

Meyer won his only championship at Ohio State following a bowl loss.

That bodes well for Ohio State's quest for the 2017 crown, though Michigan fans could attest how fast championship dreams turn to BW3 Bowl invites if your favorite team doesn't handle business down the stretch.

Ohio State is off next week. It returns to action against Penn State in Columbus on Oct. 28. That game kicks off at 3:30 on FOX.
